BEATRICE, Neb. — Authorities in Gage County have released the name of a man killed in a tractor accident.

Officers and medics were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. Thursday to the scene seven miles east-northeast of Beatrice, near Filley. The Gage County Sheriff’s office says 54-year-old Ernest Kubr was moving dirt when he lost control of the tractor and it rolled down a hill, landing atop Kubr.

Kubr was pronounced dead at the scene. He lived in Filley.
