Pink hair will be the norm around Schneck Medical Center during the month of October.

The public is invited to come to the Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center in Seymour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to get pink hair extensions added to their hair for $10 each. No appointment is necessary.

Simply Chic Beauty Salon professionals will be donating their time and profits from the event to the Schneck Foundation to benefit the cancer center.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the color pink as its trademark.

“We are so happy to have Simply Chic back again this year. It’s a fun, easy and eye-catching way to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our cancer center,” said Sally Acton, director of cancer and palliative care services at Schneck.
