YARMOUTH, Mass. — Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a head-on crash on Cape Cod.

The Cape Cod Times reports (http://bit.ly/2dBRLGh) that police responded to the crash in Yarmouth at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say 22-year-old Caroline Liberty, of Yarmouth, and 56-year-old Thomas Ardan, of Charlton, were pronounced dead at the scene. Ardan’s wife, 60-year-old Mary Ardan, is in critical condition at a Boston hospital.

Police say Mary Ardan was driving eastbound on Buck Island Road when her vehicle collided head-on with a pickup truck being driven westbound by Liberty.

The crash remains under investigation.
