Mary Davidson Koerner Steepro, 62, of Seymour passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Aug. 10, 1954, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Estel and Alberta “Bert” Engelking Davidson, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 5, 1991, in Seymour, she married Roger Steepro, who survives.

Mary was a member of New Beginnings Church of God in Seymour. She worked at Excello Shirt Factory for 20 years, was a nurse’s aide at Lutheran Community Home and worked at Seymour Housewares for 10 years. She loved sewing and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Christina (Cary) Brown-Pyatt; a son, Tracy Koerner; grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Brieanna Brown, Samantha Brown, Erica Brown, Cara Pyatt, Margaret Koerner and Darby Koerner; a great-grandchild, Christabelle Hanson; two brothers, John Davidson and Randolph “Randy” Davidson; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Brenda (David) Rodman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Koerner; a granddaughter, Jessica Brown; three brothers, Conrad Davidson, Blaine Davidson and Henry Davidson; and a great-niece.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel in Seymour, with Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until time of service at Thursday at the funeral home.
