Letter: Car sponsors not really supporting efforts

To the editor:

Ever hear of a charity announcing it has enough donations to fulfill its obligations for the current year? No? Ever wonder what happens to excess funds at these charity events?

They sure don’t share it with a feed-a-child organizations. Below is a great reason to keep your donations locally.

Whenever you see NHRA racing on your TV schedule, check it out and you will see racecars that cost $3 million to $5 million per car depending on a name driver to maintain for a year.

Names on these cars start with “cancer foundation.org” and “Make a Wish Foundation,” and also alzheimer.org. That’s just a partial list.

Advertising you say; no, this is blatant stupidity.
