MINK SHOALS, W.Va. — Deputies say a 92-year-old man told a 911 operator he had shot his 68-year-old daughter.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies found William J. Stuck suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his daughter, Sandra K. Nichols, shot to death inside the man’s house in Mink Shoals Thursday morning.

Deputies say Stuck was hospitalized; his condition was not immediately known. No one was initially charged in the shooting.
