NORTH VERNON

Janet Marshall, 76, of North Vernon passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at her residence.

Born Aug. 22, 1940, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Wardell and Pauline Bedel White, both of whom preceded her in death. She married James Marshall on March 2, 1963. He preceded her in death Oct. 11, 2009.

Janet retired from Home Products in Seymour and was a member of Living Wood Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Ray White of North Vernon and James Marshall of Seymour; a daughter, Joyce Redmon of Columbus; two sisters, Judy Sandlin and Lee Ann (Carl) Hounshel, both of Seymour; a brother, David (Marlene) White of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Toni Gayle Smith, Sandra Gonzalez, Ethan Marshall, Zeph Ross, Cory Ross, Hailley Hopper and Renee Lewis; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry White and Michael White; and a sister, Carole Whipker.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
