Jason K. Jackson, 42, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at his home.

Born Oct. 17, 1973, in Lyons, Kansas, he was the son of Howard K. and Lana G. Shelton Jackson, both of whom survive in Ocala, Florida. On Aug. 15, 1992, in Brownstown, Jason married Brandi Schafstall.

A graduate of Brownstown Central High School and Ivy Tech Community College, Jason was an HVAC tech for HFI Inc. of Bloomington. He was a member of Local 440 Plumbers, Steamfitters and HVAC Service Technicians Union, the Eagles club and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He attended St. Peters Lutheran Church in Brownstown. Jason was a loving and devoted father and enjoyed cooking, grilling, NASCAR and camping.

Other survivors include his two children, Damian Stone Jackson and Emily “Brooke” Jackson, both of Seymour; maternal grandmother, Jean (Prewitt) Shelton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Samuel Shelton, and paternal grandparents, James and Genevieve Kirkpatrick Jackson.

A celebration of life will begin at noon Saturday at the VFW in Seymour.

Memorials may be made to a memorial fund for Damian and Emily Jackson.

Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre handled the arrangements.
