Entries for the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts Judged Art Show and Holiday Art Bazaar will be accepted through Oct. 28.

A maximum of two pieces may be submitted, and at least one piece must be for sale. Those participating in the bazaar must be a current member of the arts center and may have up to three pieces of art for sale.

Entries for the judged show, sponsored by Edward Jones Seymour offices, are $10 for SICA members and $45 for nonmembers.

There will be a separate judging category for youth, which is defined as prior to senior year in high school.

All submissions must be made by the artist. Submitting someone else’s work is not allowed.

The Edward Jones sponsorship provides cash prizes for youth and adult categories. A reception announcing the winners and SICA’s annual meeting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20. The public is invited to attend.

The show will be available for viewing Nov. 2 through Dec. 22, giving people an opportunity to purchase unique gifts. Sales benefit artists and the arts center. SICA’s main gallery has rotating art exhibits each month. There is no cost to view gallery exhibits or for building tours.

Edward Jones has sponsored this event for nine years. After the show, entries are made available to SICA public space art exhibits at Schneck Medical Center, Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, Tiemeier’s Jewelry Store and Brownstown Town Hall.
