Olive V. Campbell, 94, of Bedford, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at her residence.

Born March 1, 1922, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Oren and Ruth Whitcomb Huber, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1943, she married Lt. Robert Speer, who preceded her in death in 1944. On May 12, 1951, she married Lt. Col. Bill Campbell, who preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1983.

Olive was a member of Phi Beta Psi sorority and First United Methodist Church, where she was active in many groups, in Bedford.

Survivors include five daughters, Donna (Loran) Workman of Casper, Wyoming, Cindy (Craig) Blorstad of Bloomington, Kendra (Frank) Emerson of Ocala, Florida, Janet (Randy) Sparks of Solsberry and Jennifer Evans of Bloomington; two sons, Lt. Col. William (Faith) Campbell of Kentucky and Kenneth (Sue) Campbell of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Candace, Jake, Haley, Daniel, Emily, Christine and Pierce; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Tom (Mona) Huber of Watkinsville, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Huber and William Huber, and a sister, Doris Gardin.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Chapel of Day and Carter Mortuary in Bedford. Burial will follow at Pleasant Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
