Wreck just east of Seymour leaves two hospitalized

A 24-year-old Jennings County man was flown to a Louisville hospital Wednesday night after a head-on collision on U.S. 50 east of Seymour, police report.
Tyler Fields of North Vernon, who had to be cut from his vehicle, was treated at the scene for a possible broken thigh bone and other injuries by medical personnel before being to taken to the helipad at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, according to a report from Jackson County Officer Rick Meyer. Fields was then flown by StatFlight to University of Louisville Hospital.
Witnesses told police Fields was driving his 1995 Chevrolet Lumina east in the westbound lane in the 11000 block of East U.S. 50 when he had a head-on collision with a 2007 Toyota passenger car driven by Madison Spencer, 19, of Louisville, Meyer said.
Spencer complained of lower leg and hip and was treated by medical personnel with Jackson County Emergency Medical Services and taken to Schneck.
