Bennie L. Seale Jr., 77, of North Vernon passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at his home in North Vernon.

Born May 14, 1939, in Jonesville, Virginia, he was the son of Bennie and Dora Supthin Seale. He married Louise M. Weller on Dec. 28, 1963, in Brownstown. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2008.

Bennie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Seymour. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962 and was a tool and die maker and owner/operator of Seale’s Body Shop until his retirement. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Survivors include his sons, Clayton (Tracy) Seale and John Seale; grandchild, Devin L. Seale; and two sisters, Joyce (Chester) Carrol and Charolotte (Curnis) Fee.

Beside his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Nathan L. Seale and a stillborn son, Russell L. Seale; and two sisters.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Gary Dyer officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
