CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a woman whose body was found behind a Charlotte business.

Authorities said that officers checking on a shots fired call around 2:45 a.m. Saturday found the woman in the driveway of a business a few miles east of Uptown Charlotte.

Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Katherine Memory Jones.

Investigators have not made any arrests or released a motive for the shooting.
