NORTH VERNON

Aaron Estil Hess, 88, of North Vernon died at 5:42 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline Hess of North Vernon; a daughter, Kristina (Kevin) Ramey Royalty of Madison; a son, Bruce Hess of North Vernon; three grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Nolan of Scottsburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Hess; and a grandson.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Services with the Rev. Bruce Watts officiating. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2021 and the United States Army.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Wayside Inn Shelter and Bethel Baptist Church.
