Braves go 2-2 in tourney

CARMEL

Brownstown Central finished .500 at the Carmel Tournament on Saturday.

The Braves (14-19) picked up a 25-16, 25-21 win against Terre Haute South while also topping the host school 25-19, 25-12.

In the victories, Keeli Darlage combined for 53 hits with 16 kills, while Claire Pace had 18 and six.

Serving, Leah Stidam combined for four aces in the wins.

Brownstown Central fell to Elkhart Memorial 25-20, 25-20 and Noblesville 25-13, 25-16 in the other matches on the day.

Tuesday, the Braves will host Providence in the first round of sectional.
