The congregation of First Marion Baptist Church will host a Rural Community Fellowship event at 7 p.m. Thursday with refreshments afterwards.

Pastor Damon Marling of United Christian Church will bring the message.

The fellowship’s mission project for October and November is the schoolchildren from the Commiskey area, who are mostly enrolled at Deputy Elementary School and Graham Creek Elementary School. The fellowship supports the children, staff, teachers and principals of those schools.

Everyone is invited to attend the event at the church at 7730 W. County Road 850S (Commiskey Pike), Commiskey.
