All Seasons Garden Club met Oct. 3 at the home of Ann Burgess.

A variety of fall desserts were served by Burgess and co-hostess Martha Wilson.

President Veronica Bowling conducted the business meeting. Becky Hackman, chairwoman of the Christmas party, informed members the party would be Dec. 5 at Stahl’s Cafe and Deli.

Wilson distributed Purdue Extension books, “What Gardeners Should Know About Pesticides,” and “Autumn Garden Calendar” from the Department of Horticulture. Wilson also led a discussion regarding winter preparation for roses.

Members will meet at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Lutheran Community Home to clean up and prepare the gardens for winter.

The Nov. 7 meeting will be at the home of Julie Ballard, with Judy Bobb as co-hostess. Programs, meetings and officers for the 2017 year will be on the agenda.
