Actress to portray wife of first Indiana governor

To celebrate the Indiana bicentennial, Friends of the Jackson County Public Library is sponsoring a portrayal of Ann Jennings, the wife of the first governor of Indiana, at 2 p.m. Nov. 5 in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Jennings will be portrayed by Midwestern actress, living historian and local native Lori Roberts.

Those interested will hear details about early Indiana and the personal life of Gov. Jonathan Jennings, who was elected in August 1816 and assumed office in December of that year in Corydon.
