Students trick-or-treating for canned goods tonight in Brownstown

Brownstown Central High School student council members will be trick-or-treating for items to donate to Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry in Seymour.

Brownstown area residents wishing to donate canned goods and nonperishables may give them to student council members as they travel around neighborhoods from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Donations may also be dropped off at the high school through Wednesday.
Items needed include soups, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and sauce, peanut butter, jelly, canned or boxed potatoes, vegetables (spinach, carrots, mixed vegetables), dried beans, canned beans (kidney, pinto, baked, chili), egg noodles, canned meats (tuna, salmon, chicken), Jell-O and puddings, quick-fix lunches (canned pastas, etc.), cereal (hot and cold), grits, Jiffy cornbread mix, Hamburger/Tuna Helper, fruit (peaches, pears, mandarin oranges, pineapple, fruit cocktail).
