Walk-in appointments for free, confidential and rapid human immunodeficiency virus testing are available Thursday at Walgreens in Seymour and North Vernon.
With a simple gum swab and a 20-minute wait, people can know their HIV status with this 99 percent accurate test. No needles or blood drawing is required.
Testing at the North Vernon Walgreens store at 9 N. State St. will be from 1 to 3 p.m., while testing at the Seymour store at 319 E. Tipton St. will be from 4 to 6 p.m.
This program is funded in part by the Indiana State Department of Health HIV/STD Division and made available by IU Health Positive Link, a program of Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital Community Health.
