Jean Delph, 82, of Brownstown passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 20, 1934, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of Chris and Ethel Mathis Allen. On Dec. 16, 1949, she married Walter Delph, who survives.

Jean retired from Marion Kay Spices in Brownstown and was a member of  Brownstown Nazarene Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers and attending gospel hymn sings but loved spending time with her family.

Other survivors include three children, Carolyn (Nick) Krieger, Randy (Darlene) Delph and Cheryl (Roy) Anderson; two brothers, James (Margaret) Allen and Donald Allen; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, Danny Delph.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brownstown Nazarene Church with the Rev. Tim Lichtley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials may be given to Brownstown Nazarene Church.
