Treva E. Otte Stahl, 93, of Seymour passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home.

Born Nov. 15, 1922, on a farm north of Waymansville, she was the daughter of Omer and Mabel Trimpe Otte, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 8, 1942, in Seymour, she married Virgil G. Stahl, who preceded her in death in 2001.

She was baptized at Waymansville Lutheran Church, and the family moved to Seymour when she was four years old. Treva graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School in 1937 and was a 1941 graduate of Shields High School.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved singing, music and served as a soloist for many weddings and events. She worked at Seymour Greenhouse, Johnny O’s Music Store, the Elk’s Club, Sandy Creek Golf Course and Beards. Working with flowers, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, golf and singing were her favorite pastimes. She loved life, her family and the Lord.

Survivors include her three children, Jon Cullen (Laura) Stahl, Trudy Jo Woods and Peggy D. (Steven) Stark, all of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Marc (Missy) Woods, Benjamin Woods, Jason (Kerry) Stahl, Sara (Kevin) Gribbins, Bradley (Katie) Stark, Ryan Stark and Andrew Stark; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Harris.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Otte.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch and the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be at Riverview cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
