Taylor André Michael Colbert, 23, of Columbus passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016.

Born Feb. 14, 1993, in Columbus, he was a resident of Columbus for most of his life. He had an interest in psychology, photography, music and Jewish studies. Taylor had a serious interest in human concerns for equal rights for all. He loved spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his parents, Terrence L. Colbert Jr. and Angel Michelle Brummett Colbert; grandparents, Kathy Brummett of Indianapolis, John A. and Ronda Cox of Taylorsville and Terrence L. Colbert Sr. and Allane Colbert of North Vernon; a sister, TyAnn R. Colbert of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Danielle Colbert of North Vernon, Ross (Rebecca) Brummett, John A. (Theresa) Cox II, Justin Q. (Jamie) Cox, Katherine Ritchison and Matthew Ritchison, all of Columbus.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus. Taylor will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date with a private ceremony.

Memorials may be made to the Taylor Colbert Memorial Fund to help with expenses.
