Vision health: Lions club completes 3,000 screenings

Submitted photo / The Seymour Noon Lions Club recently finished all vision screenings in Jackson County, including at all private and public schools. The state mandates that screenings be performed for first, third, fifth and eighth grades. The club also had its vision van at the Jackson County Fair and did screenings for all ages for six nights. Lions from Jackson County clubs helped with the screenings. Those clubs include Brownstown, Crothersville, Medora, Pershing Township, Seymour Evening and Seymour Noon. This year, more than 3,000 screenings were completed.
