Ritchey Lee Clark, 56, of Seymour passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at his home.
Born May 27, 1960, in Seymour, he was the son of Ronald and Shirley Mellencamp Clark, both of whom survive. In November of 1992, he married Karen Leigh Baurle, who also survives.
He graduated from Seymour High School, where he was a South Central Conference champion with the wrestling team. He then attended Olivet Nazarene University. He was a postal carrier for more than 25 years until his retirement in 2011.
After retirement, he enjoyed refurbishing furniture with his wife and son. He was a talented musician and enjoyed gardening and hunting arrowheads. He was a gentle soul who had a great love for nature, friends, family and the Lord.
Other survivors include his children, Levi (Abigail) Clark, Seth Clark, Brandon (Anna Tharp) Clark and Keelyn Clark; two grandchildren, Emmitt and Hoak Clark; brother, Bobby (Karen) Clark; three sisters, Jan Clark, Joyce (Daniel) Mason and Kelly Clark; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Mary Ann Baurle; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Jay Mellencamp, Joe and Rose Mellencamp and Mary “Toots” Cowles; and his grandparents, Harry and Laura Mellencamp.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Rick Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
