Freeman Army Airfield program planned

The public is invited to learn about the history of the Freeman Army Airfield as a World War II military training facility and foreign aircraft evaluation center at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Registration for this free Jackson County Public Library program is preferred by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling information services at 812-523-4636.

The program for older youth, teens and adults will be presented by Freeman Army Airfield Museum curator Larry Bothe. He will explain how the museum got started and give a virtual tour (slideshow) of the major museum exhibits.
