Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid 3 met Oct. 20 in the fellowship room of the Seymour church.

The hostesses for the evening were Sue Foster and Rosalie Grabinski, and they chose to open the meeting with singing the hymn “Take My Life and Let It Be” verses 1 and 2. Then the group recited in unison Psalm 65.

Vice president Ginny Fenton presided and asked for roll call and minutes. Roll call was answered by 21 ladies and one guest, Sarah Newton.

Minutes were read and approved. Mites were received, and the treasury report was given.

Norma Kilgas reported on shut-in visitations for September and Sharon Klakamp for visitations in October. Ann Mahan and Sue Meyer will have visitations in November. The cheer committee sent out 12 cards in September and October.

The annual arts and craft show was Nov. 5 in the Immanuel Lutheran School gymnasiums. Seventy-four vendors participated, and the co-chairpersons were Kilgas and Mahan. Grabinski was in charge of the luncheon in the school cafeteria.

Helen Nolting reported on the progress of the Christmas dinner. It will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 with The Townhouse Cafe serving the meal. Leah Schneider will provide the entertainment.

Fenton led a second reading of the changes to the constitution and bylaws to be enacted at the November meeting.

Officers for the year 2017 were elected. They are president, Jane Pardieck; vice president, Fenton; secretary, Donna Runge; and treasurer, Grabinski.

Members signed up for committee assignments for next year.

The meeting closed with singing verses 5 and 6 of the opening hymn.

The hostess served mini sandwiches and dessert. Hostesses for November will be Kelly Green and Carol Hill.
