James D. Prajzner, 61, of Brownstown passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis.

Mr. Prajzner was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. He was employed as an electrician at Cosco for more than 20 years and was the owner of Jim’s Music in Brownstown since 1986. Mr. Prajzner participated in community theater, played in several bands, taught music lessons and was involved in music throughout all of Jackson County.

Born Aug. 29, 1955, in Columbus, he was the son of John D. and Etta P. Perry Prajzner, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 5, 1979, he married Sue Kiewit and she survives in Brownstown.

Survivors also include one son, Andrew Prajzner of Brownstown; one daughter, Amanda (Brandon) Ritter of Brownstown; and one granddaughter, Hunter Trueblood of Brownstown.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Geneva Prajzner and his grandmothers, Ora Perry and Ann Prajzner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown, with Pastor Nicholas Fuller officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Interment will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown.
