FRANKLIN

Ramona B. McDowell, 83, of Franklin, formerly of North Vernon died at 9:31 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.

She is survived by her son, Charles Filson of Columbus; daughters, Margaret Hoppus of Greensburg and Pamela (Rex) Baxter of Flat Rock; sister, Charlene Miller of North Vernon; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McDowell; a son, Stephen Filson; and a grandchild, Audrey Jane Smith.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Franklin.
