The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library will conduct a bimonthly used book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

A special Friends-only preview sale will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

This sale will offer tables of books, movies, music and miscellaneous items, some surplus equipment and a board game and puzzle swap for International Games Day.

Prices include adult hardback and softbound books for $1; children’s and young adult hardback and paperback books for 50 cents; and DVDs for $2. The “everything-you-can-fit-in-a-bag-for-$3” is at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Donations of gently used books are welcome to help stock upcoming and ongoing sales at Seymour, Crothersville and Medora. Donors may drop them off at any checkout desk during library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend (or renewing their membership for 2017) will find forms at the sale, at the Seymour, Crothersville or Medora checkout desks or online. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

This is the last 2016 sale. 2017 sales begin Jan. 7.
