Immanuel Lutheran Guild

Immanuel Lutheran Guild conducted a regular meeting Nov. 1 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.

President Jackie Hill opened the meeting. Becky Boas led the group, singing “Now Thank We All Our God.”

Pastor Philip Bloch gave the devotions, titled “A Thank You Will Do,” based on Thessalonians.

Nuts were available for pickup. The group will have nuts for sale at the Trinity Lutheran High School craft show Nov. 26.

Lisa Lewis spoke about the cookie walk, which is scheduled for Dec. 3. Each member is to bring 15 dozen cookies to the fellowship hall Dec. 2.

Hill reminded the group that it will attend the Scottsburg church Jan. 9.

Sandy Kilgas reported on the Christmas party, which will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in the fellowship hall.

The tables were decorated with yellow and green placemats and pumpkins. Pumpkin spice roll and candy corn were served.

Linda Eggersman led the group with the Lord’s Prayer. Ester Becker won the door prize.

Hostesses for the evening were Peggy Stark, Tammy Swindell and Jan Wilde.
