NORTH VERNON

Herschel A. Cook, 88, of North Vernon died at 9:11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at his residence.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Ron) Norris and Kathy (Chris) Guess, both of North Vernon; a brother, William Cook of Seymour; four grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reta.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
