Girls Inc. of Jackson County is preparing for its seventh annual Turkey Trot 8K run and 5K walk on Thanksgiving Day.

The race begins at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Girls Inc., 956 N. O’Brien St., Seymour. Registration and packet pickup start at 6:30 a.m. The registration fee is $35.

Girls Inc. is partnering with Human Services Inc., and participants can bring five canned goods to donate to the agency’s food pantry or make a $5 donation.

Door prizes will be drawn while participants are out on the course.
