SEYMOUR

James E. Cross, 59, of Seymour passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born April 17, 1957, in Greensburg, he was the son of Flemon R. Cross, who preceded him in death, and Anna M. Gilham Cross.

James was a former laborer at Home Products International in Seymour, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Assemblies of God and Teen Challenge of America.

Survivors include his mother, Anna M. Cross of Seymour; two brothers, Melvin R. (Marlene) Cross of Seymour and Roger D. Cross of Blocher; four sisters, Marilyn A. Nowling of Seymour, Brenda K. Cross of Blocher, Donna M. (John) Clark of Versailles and Charlene Brothers of Clarksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a son, James Ryan; and four brothers, David Wayne, Ronald E., Danny J. and Robert L. Cross.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery in Blocher.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
