Sixteen American Senior Communities locations, including one in Seymour, recently were named among the best in the nation by “U.S. News and World Report.”

Seymour Crossing at 707 S. Jackson Park Drive was recognized for quality care, according to a news release from American Senior Communities.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, across each state and in 100 major metropolitan areas. This year, just more 2,000 nursing homes earned the designation of a U.S. News Best Nursing Home.

Nationally, fewer than 13 percent of all nursing homes are chosen for this distinction. ASC significantly exceeded the national selection rate with having 21 percent of ASC communities chosen for this recognition.

American Senior Communities operates 90 communities throughout Indiana and in Louisville, Kentucky.

Senior health services include Moving Forward Rehabilitation, Auguste’s Cottage Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care and Hospice in addition to specialty services. ASC also offers Assisted Living and Garden Homes.

American Senior Communities’ Salem Center also was recognized along with centers in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, New Castle, South Bend and Terre Haute.
