Tony Ray Wischmeier, 57, of Seymour passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, in Columbus.

Born July 27, 1959, in Seymour, he was the son of Patty Luenebrink Wischmeier and Ralph Edward William Wischmeier, who preceded him in death.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Eagles Club and the American Legion, all of Seymour. Tony worked in customer care as the delivery man for O’Reilly Auto Parts for many years in Seymour. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a big fan of Tony Stewart. He was always a handyman, as he would tinker with cars and could put anything together. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Other survivors besides his mother include brother, David Lee (Brenda) Wischmeier; sister, Kathy Jo (Nelson) Engleking; and nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour with Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Voss Chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, the Redeemer Lutheran Church expansion fund or donor’s choice of charity.
