Seymour’s Christmas celebration postponed

Seymour’s downtown Christmas celebration scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Monday at One Chamber Square has been postponed because of rain.

The annual celebration, organized by the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, has been rescheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The event includes performances by local choir and dance groups and visits by Jingle John and his live reindeer and other animals.

Santa will arrive with Mayor Craig Luedeman by firetruck for the official lighting of downtown. Vendors will be on hand selling food and merchandise.
