State Sen. Eric Koch, R-Bedford, has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem David Long, R-Fort Wayne, to serve on the senate committees on Utilities; Commerce and Technology; Judiciary; Civil Law; and Corrections and Criminal Law for the 120th General Assembly.

The 2017 legislative session ceremonially began Nov. 22 with Organization Day. Legislators will reconvene Jan. 3 and must conclude the 2017 session by April 29.
