Make gingerbread houses at libraries

All ages can create a free gingerbread house at 4:30 or 6 p.m. Thursday at the Crothersville Library, 120 W. Main St. There is a maximum of 20 attendees.

At the Medora Library, 27 W. Main St., the houses also will be free and made at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. There is a maximum of 24 attendees.

Registration is required by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636. A minimum of three registrants is required at each location. These programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Jackson County Public Library.

Then at 2 p.m. Dec. 17, adults and teens are invited to learn to make a gingerbread house in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St. Registration with a payment of $5 for supplies is required by Monday at the checkout desk. There is a limit of 25 attendees.

Participants will be led by information services clerk Trina Roark and will build a simple cottage or design their own house with their supplies.
