Library hosting ‘Christmas Memories’

The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library brings famed children’s author Laura Ingalls Wilder to life with Laura F. Keyes’ production of “Laura Ingalls: Christmas Memories” at 2 p.m. Sunday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

This event is free and open to the public.

In the program, it’s Christmastime, and Laura Ingalls’ wedding to Almanzo Wilder is fast approaching. Keyes, as Laura Ingalls, reminisces about her childhood Christmases and looks forward to making memories with her soon-to-be husband.

“The Little House” series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder and other research on the author are the basis of this presentation.

Keyes is a librarian in northern Illinois. She enjoys researching literary symbolism and is contracted to write a book on that subject.

Since 1999, she has been very active in community theater in Illinois and Wisconsin, serving on the board of directors for Pec Playhouse Theatre more than once.
