BZA to consider cell tower applications

The Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider applications for the construction of two cell towers during a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the county planning and zoning office at 202 E. Walnut St., Brownstown.

Skyway Towers of Indianapolis is requesting variances and special exceptions for the two 300-foot towers.

One of those towers would be erected on a 0.23-acre site at 5460 N. County Road 200E in Hamilton Township. That property is owned by Carol Ann Bell of Seymour.

The second tower would be located on a 0.23-acre site at 4514 S. County Road 700E in Grassy Fork Township. That property is owned by Melvin and Marjorie Bishop of Crothersville.

Each tower would have a 10-foot lightning rod and ground equipment.

Board meetings are open to the public and press.
