Louis M. McReynolds Sr, 82, of Seymour passed away at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at Columbus Regional Health.

Born Sept. 8, 1934, in Marietta, Mississippi, he was the son of Joe and Mattie Hathorn McReynolds. He married Erleen Young McReynolds, who preceded him in death in 1965. He then married Dorothy Woods McReynolds, who also preceded him in death.

Louis was a member of Bethel AME Church in Seymour. He retired from Fitzpatrick Smelters after 35 years of service. After he retired, he loved going fishing.

Survivors include his sons, Louis D. (Sylvia) McReynolds Jr. and Larry McReynolds; his daughter, Pam McReynolds; 13 grandchildren; his sister, Gladys McClinton; a daughter-in-law, Rita McReynolds; a niece, Pam; and two nephews, Michael and Vic.

Besides his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by sons, James and Darrell McReynolds and two grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with Pastor Stacy Dyson officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Voss Chapel.
