Cougars suffer hard loss on road
AUSTIN
The Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team dropped a game to Austin 72-47 Tuesday evening on the road.
Leading in scoring for the Cougars was Abby Hackman with 19 points. Hackman also recorded a team-high 11 rebounds in the Cougars’ loss.
The Cougars fell to 3-8 on the year.
Braves earn conference victory
CLARKSVILLE
The Brownstown Central High School girls basketball team captured a Mid-Southern Conference game by defeating Clarksville 55-29 on the road Tuesday night.
Leading for the Braves was freshman Ashley Schroer with 12 points in the win. The Braves struggled from the free throw line by going 8-24, but were still able to pick up the win.
The Braves improved to 7-6 on the year and 2-3 in the Mid-Southern Conference.
