TCC, a Verizon retailer, recently announced nearly 600 of its stores, including the one in Seymour, will be donating and volunteering at local food banks through its Stop Hunger initiative this holiday season in a joint effort with its customers.

Local families may participate in the program by bringing in canned and boxed food to the company’s Seymour store at 1327 E. Tipton St. through Monday. The food will be delivered to a food bank in the community.

TCC has a goal of collecting 11 tons of food across all of its participating stores.
