Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church had its Christmas dinner at Dec. 6 at D’s Diner in Seymour.

President Lucy Dembek welcomed 36 members, spouses and guests and thanked the Christmas committee for its work.

Paul Stafford gave devotions reading from John 3:18 and also reading a story entitled “Don’t Let the Grinch Steal Your Christmas.”

The meal followed with a buffet of traditional holiday foods.

Mary Sentz played the piano throughout the meal. Mike and Mary Sentz sang several carols and hymns with the group joining in.

Dembek gave gifts of appreciation to the 2016 officers. She thanked Stafford for the favors and Lois Gueder for the Christmas booklets.

The officers for 2017 are president, Stafford; vice president, Wanda Gray; secretary, Judy McDonald; and treasurer, Betty Guinn.

The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
