SEYMOUR

Ruth Piel, 86, of Seymour, passed away at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Premier Healthcare of North Vernon.

Born May 15, 1930, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Oscar “Pip” Allman.

Ruth was a member of The Tabernacle in Seymour. She retired from Arvins Industry after 40 years of service.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ann Piel; grandson, Roderick Paul Gerth; and sister, Corrina Kilgas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Lee Allman.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Voss Chapel with Pastor Larry Arrowood officiating. Burial will be at Acme Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to The Tabernacle.
