Karin VanScyoc Greemann-Antle, 61, of Seymour passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 10, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of W. Kenneth and Marilyn Williams VanScyoc, both of whom preceded her in death. Karin first married the father of her children, Thomas M. Greemann, in 1976; then later married Dana J. Antle, who survives, in Seymour.

Karin was a graduate of the Seymour High School Class of 1973 and IVY Tech Community College. She attended Purdue University and was a graduate of Leadership Jackson County. She also was a real estate agent and co-owner of Greemann Real Estate for more than 20 years. She was in advertising and marketing for the Tribune in Seymour and the Jackson County Banner in Brownstown.

Karin was a baptized and confirmed member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained deacon, choir member, Sunday school teacher and served on many committees. She was a member of Gamma Phi chapter and the associate chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa and served as secretary and president of each chapter and several state committees, including being chairwoman of the statewide fine arts committee.

She was a member of the Jackson County Board of Realtors, and the Indiana and national board of Realtors, Seymour Heritage Foundation’s board of directors, Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ board of directors and Girls Inc.’s board of directors. She was a founding member of the Renaissance Program at Seymour High School, served on the Boys and Girls Club Women’s Council and on several committees of the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce.

She also was on the Seymour Republican and Jackson County Republican committees, and she had served as secretary and chairman of the city committee and vice chairman of the county committee.

Karin was an avid golfer and loved the Colts. She enjoyed art, music, flower gardening, cooking and baking, working on family genealogy, loved animals, painting, design, words and trivia, playing euchre and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Besides her best friend and husband, survivors include her children, Ellen (Evan) Stauffer, Katherine (Justin) Corey and Alexander Greemann; stepsons, Justin (Katie) Antle, Jared (Rachel) Antle and Deric Antle; grandchildren, Norah, Orion, Collin and Iver; stepgrandchildren, Justice, Jaeden, Dakota, Jace, Cyrus, KJ, Chandler, Carson and Connor; siblings, Dr. Jon (Emalee) VanScyoc, Kristin (Dan) Deputy and Kent (Jeannie) VanScyoc; nieces and nephews, Dr. Wendy (Philip) Daravingus, Erik (Erin) VanScyoc, Greg (Erica) Deputy, Kari (Brian) King, Pat (MiMi) VanScyoc and Aaron VanScyoc; aunt, Carole Stribling; and great-great-aunt, Ruth Peck.

She also was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mildred and Glenn Williams, and paternal grandparents, John and Zella VanScyoc.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. John Erikson officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share fond memories of Karin from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Memorials may be given to the Jackson County Humane Society.
