BROWNSTOWN

James Norman Dicks, 77, of Brownstown, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Aug. 22, 1939, in Dearborn, Michigan, he was the son of Norman Wesley and Mathilda Gerigk Dicks, both of whom preceded him in death.

James was raised in the Catholic faith and was self-employed.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Dicks of Arizona, and Norman Dicks and Jim Lafrance, of Michigan; a daughter, Joyce Dicks; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Patti) Dicks of Spring Lake, Michigan, and Patrick August (Cathy) Dicks of Chasstell, Michigan; and two sisters, Marion (Raymond) Minton of Seymour and Mary Rose (Don) Jewett of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Francis McClelland

Cremation was chosen, and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
