Bi-monthly book sale slated this weekend

The Friends of the Library’s first 2017 bimonthly book sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

A special Friends-only preview of the sale is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Items are priced as follows: Adult hardback and softbound books, $1 each; Children’s books, young adult books, and small paperbacks, 50 cents each; and DVDs, $2 each. During the final hour of the sale from 3 to 4 p.m. Friends of the Library volunteers will hand out bags to fill with books for only $3 a bag.

Donations of gently-used books, DVDs and CDs are welcome to help stock upcoming bi-monthly sales and the ongoing sales at Seymour, Crothersville, and Medora libraries. They may be dropped off at any checkout desk during library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Library or renewing their present membership will find forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

The next book sale will be March 4.
