Library hosting storytime programs

The Jackson County Public Library will be offering free storytime programs beginning Jan. 16 and continuing through Feb. 28 in the Kidz Korner Program Room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

The library’s story times are 30-minute sessions that incorporate age-appropriate early literacy activities that include stories, rhymes and songs. There will be no classes Feb. 20.

Registration is required.

The Mother Goose and Me story time program is open to ages 0 to 24 months at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, while the Shake Your Sillies Out Toddler Time is open to ages 25 to 36 months at 6 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. Tuesdays. Preschool Explorers is open to ages 3 to 5 at 6:30 pm. Mondays and 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

An adult must accompany children ages 36 months and younger to the story times. Parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 5 may attend the story time session with their child or wait in the Kidz Korner until the session ends.
